The popular Lady Bay Open Gardens is celebrating its 25th anniversary and has announced this year’s dates as Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd July 2016. If you’ve been before, you’ll know what a great day out it is for all age groups.
There will be over 20 gardens open over the weekend and you’re likely to see small cottage gardens, vegetable plots, wildflower meadows, formal landscaped gardens and plenty of ponds and wildlife. There will be plenty of entertainment and wonderful refreshments over the two days including live music, cake and plant stalls and plenty of fun and games.
The money raised will be donated to Lady Bay Community Fund as well as all the various charities nominated by garden owners. Last year’s event was a resounding success with the glorious sunshine and over 1500 visitors attending over the two-day event, a 30% increase on previous years. A total of 21 gardens of all shapes and sizes took part with families enjoying the hospitality and entertainment. The event raised £8,144 for the various charities.
