If you are in School Year 8 (aged 12+) or above you can join the Air Cadets! 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron are recruiting – opening their doors to prospective Cadets on Monday 16th January and Thursday 19th January. The Cadet Centre on Wilford Lane will be open from 7pm to 9pm on both dates – your chance to see what the Air Training Corps can offer! If you are interested in Flying, Aerospace, Sports, Duke of Edinburgh Award, BTEC Qualifications, First Aid, Fieldcraft, Camping, Radios or many other things this could be the thing for you!
This week 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron had visitors from Air Cadet units in Australia. Both visitors popped in to have a look around, meet the Cadets and Staff but also look at how the Royal Air Force Air Cadets compares to Australian Air Cadets. Talks took place to see what we can offer each other in the future, with Staff hopeful to visit Australia with Cadets and Cadets visiting 209 Squadron from Australia!
