Under the baton of Music Director Robert Parker, Nottingham Concert Band starts its new term of rehearsals at Jesse Gray School in West Bridgford on Tuesday 5th September.
Upcoming public events start with an afternoon on the bandstand in Nottingham’s Arboretum on Sunday 10th September, followed by the 2017 Eric Coates Society concert in Hucknall on the afternoon of Saturday 7th October. The band will then join West Bridgford Social Singers for a musical celebration on Saturday 18th November in West Bridgford Methodist Church.
Founded in 1991, Nottingham Concert Band comprises some 65 experienced adult players across woodwind, brass and percussion sections. The band performs all over the East Midlands and enquiries about events and membership – particularly from experienced trumpet and horn players – are always welcome.
