Investigation launched following man’s death in West Bridgford

Nottinghamshire Police

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a death of a man who was found at an address in West Bridgford on Sunday afternoon (5 January 2020).

Nottinghamshire Police were called just before 2.20pm to a property at Epperstone Court following the discovery of the body of a man.

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death, as part of detectives’ ongoing enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Detective Inspector Rich Monk said: “Our enquiries have been continuing since the time the discovery of the man’s body was reported to us and although our enquiries remain at an early stage, we believe this to be a self-contained incident in which the people involved are thought to be known to one another.

“We are not looking for any other persons at this time in connection with the death.

“We’re following a number of lines of enquiry and we’re still urging anyone with any information who hasn’t already come forward to please get in touch with us.

“We know that these kinds of incident will naturally cause concern within the local community and we have increased patrols in the area to offer some reassurance.

“I would encourage anyone with any concerns to speak to those officers who will remain in the area as our enquiries continue.”

Anyone with any information that could assist the investigation is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 393 of 5 January 2020.
